Q1. My YoloBox Pro can not charge?

Currently YoloBox Pro is a bit picky with USBC charger/adaptor. Please make sure you are using the right charger that supports QC2.0 protocol with Output: 5V=3A and the charging wire should be the USB-C to USB-A wire. Please note a normal Mac or iPhone USBC charger might not work. If you cannot get your device to power up, please press and hold the button for 10-15 seconds.

Q2. My SD card can not be detected(YoloBox Pro doesn’t read pictures and videos from it), what should I do?

YoloBox Pro should work with most types of SD cards without restrictions on the storage and format( FAT32/exFat/NTSC), if any issues, please try change SD card.

Q3. I can’t successfully set up my RTMP stream?

Most RTMP issues reported turned out the user errors.

1: If you cannot receive any link via email, please try to change another web browser. Make sure you fill in them(Stream key and the URL) in right places.

2: When the link filled in and successfully added! Please go back to YoloBox/YoloBox Pro main page, then create a live stream to check if the RTMP name is there.

3: RTMP name added successfully but there is an error saying, “Publish failed, please check your network then retry“. Please use YoloLiv’s Multi-Streaming Service in Streaming Mode.

Q4. I can’t seem to connect to the internet successfully with my 4G SimCard, what should I do?

This is one of the questions that we get most asked about. However in most cases they are just user-errors. Before launching YoloBox to the market, we tested with major telecommunication carriers in our major market. They are all working fine as long as: 

  • SimCards should include texts and calls(not pure data plan)
  • SimCards should be operated and inserted correctly

If you have Telstra SIM cards(or any other that doesn’t work), please try find the SIM card APN settings on your cellphone firstly, then insert your SIM card in your YoloBox Pro.

Go to: Networking setting > Mobile network > Advanced > Network > Access Point Names > APNs >Edit access point, The access point should be all the same as they are showed in your cellphone.

Q5. How do I know if my device is compatible with YoloBox Pro.

Unlike the original YoloBox that has HDCP issue in some high end camera models(normally need an HDMI EDID emulator to bypass), YoloBox Pro works with basically all cameras, drones, GoPro, DV and camcorders. Or you can even connect the computer/phone/tablet as a video source for screen mirroring what’s on the computer, phone or tablet.

Does the camera have an HDMI output?
Your camera needs to have some kind of HDMI output.
Try it out
Connect your camera’s HDMI output to a TV or other video display. Can you get a clean HDMI output signal on the display?(Clean HDMI means that the display just shows the image that you’re pointing the camera at … with none of the extra items that you see in the camera’s viewfinder/LCD, such as battery life or remaining video time.)
If you don’t see a clean HDMI signal on the display, check if the camera offers that via some kind of setting or menu option.
Check for audio: Does the TV or display play audio from the camera?
If you are able to see clean HDMI video on the TV or display, and you also hear an audio signal, then there is high likelihood that your camera works with YoloBox Pro.

  1. Yolobox Pro has a mono audio line input, right?
    When you say mono, do you mean mono ts input or monophone trs input using right channel (ring) only? Ts plug using tip for audio does not work. This is confusing as automatically mono input and ts plug go together, not stereo plug using right channel only. Please clarify!

  2. I am not able to duplicate the old stream or project it prompts me create a new project and all my saved overlays continue to be deleted. This update has bugs, please fix. Very frustrating. I wish I could revert to previous version.

  3. A save all template would be extremely useful, instead of manually entering the same settings. Also the scoreboard app needs working on. Firstly being able to have preset positions similar to that of Vidiu Pro. Also being able to save a preset location as at present when you try to hide the scoreboard you can’t so you have to shut it down and it reverts back to it’s default setting when you switch it back on meaning you have to reposition it during your stream not very professional.This is important when during a half time period in the game you may want to show an advert or video and at present you can’t because the scoreboard is always visible. Also the score app needs to reflect the sport that it’s being used for, typically for myself Rugby union where scoring conventions differ, 5 points for a try, 3 for a penalty and 2 for a conversion. Having to increment by 1 is tedious and errors can occur.

  4. Hello, I’ve had my YoloBox Pro for just under a month and ever since the 1.5.3 update I have to re-load all of my overlays and re-set my volume levels. I’m pretty sure that before this update everything seemed to be “saved” by the unit. Am I missing a step? Any help is greatly appreciated.

      You can duplicate the ended stream on YoloBox Pro, then you will get all the same settings in the previous live stream.

    Yobobox Team.
    Please there are two issues that I am faced with.
    1. I am unable to access the Chrome Key
    2. I am unable to live stream via YouTube.

      Sorry for the issues
      1: Chrome key feature is within the video source, mainly in the right upper corner of video source with a green/blue screen. click that and you will find how to use.
      2: For going live on YouTube, please make sure your YouTube account has been approved to go live, you can apply and access that on YouTube, normally you will be approved by YouTube team within 24 hours; Further more, allow the YoloLiv app to get access for live streaming when you connect YTB account on YoloBox/YoloBox Pro.
